Come along with us as we take a little road trip with one of our lovely bloggers, Jazmin Scheitel. Jazmin is a Nashville blogger and Youtuber with a focus on travel and lifestyle. First things first, we’re cruising through the coast of California!
First stop, Cape Kiwanda Beach. California is all about sunny skies and fun beach vibes. No west coast outfit is complete without the quintessential denim jacket. This one is called Loretta (similar style here). A wardrobe essential that will stand the test of time.
Next on the list, a scenic hike through the mountains! Feeling adventurous yet? Keeping it cute and comfortable, Jazmin is wearing the Karyn fray hem jeans. Jeans so comfy, you can go hiking in it. No stiff denim here! And don’t forget your hiking boots.
It’s not fall without pumpkins, of course. A visit to a local pumpkin patch is a must! Take a step back and take in the fall breeze.
Last but not least, a quick stop at the river. We couldn’t resist capturing the sunset for the golden hour. No trip is complete without a long car ride; Jazmin stays comfy and cozy during her journey in the Dixie jogger. Pants so comfy, you can comfortably travel with ease.
If there’s anything we can’t live without, it’s our wardrobe essentials. They’re the backbone of any girl’s closet and outfits aren’t complete without them. In today’s hectic world, who’s got the time to worry about hunting for something to wear? Wardrobe “essentials” are alluring precisely because it takes a majority of the guesswork out of finding an outfit in the morning.
To help you focus on what’s really important in your life (aside from great clothes), we’ve selected some trending fashion essentials for you. Take your pick. You can’t go wrong with any of these.
Everyone always talks about finding the perfect pair of jeans, but it goes without saying that denim is truly a closet staple. No wardrobe is complete without the perfect pair and today it’s a fashion-must to have jeans in a variety of washes and styles. It’s likely you already have a section of your closet dedicated to denim.
Trending at the moment is the straight leg fit with a mid to high rise waist, a grown-up version of the skinny jean. It hugs your assets while giving you a bit more leg room.
Denim is not just limited to pants. Skirts count, too! An A-line skirt is a classic that we always go back to no matter the era. It’s flattering on both the waist and hips for every body type. An A-line skirt, short or midi length, is a timeless piece to have in any closet. Dress it up with a ruffled blouse or keep it casual with a t-shirt or a basic button front top.

The “button up” skirt or blouse is a Velvet Heart best selling classic. Customers love it so much we offer it in a multitude of prints and colors. As a basic, these shirts go well with, well, basically anything. Can’t you tell?
The Elisa features an optional button tab if you’d prefer to roll the sleeves to a 3/4 length, or you can leave them long and unbuttoned at the cuff.
Style tip: Unbutton the front to turn it into a light beach cover up!
We all know that trends for dresses come and go, but we can’t deny that simple belted dresses are always going to make us look great no matter how little time we had to get ready in the morning. A belted dress always looks pulled together. Wear it to the office or out to brunch on the weekends with friends.
Style tip: Remove the “self-belt” and add a belt of a contrasting color for a whole new look.
Check out the Anita or the Rosa dress to get the look.
We can’t forget the jumpsuit. It’s a single item that packs a lot of punch. Step into it, add some great jewelry and/or a belt and you’re out the door. What could be easier… and stylish… and in tune with today’s fast-paced life?
The Esperanza is perfect to do everything and anything in.

Located on the famous Malibu Pier in the city of Malibu just north of Los Angeles, this place is the best for “brunch with a view.” You have two option to choose from: either the main restaurant at the beginning of the pier (for a full-service experience) or walk down to the far end of the pier and visit the Malibu Farm Café for a more casual experience.
